Lets go back in time for some more Iowa courses that we have golfed and crossed off our list.   In 2011, I purchased a golf package for Jim for his birthday at Riverside Casino and Golf Course.    It was well worth it and I will do this again some day.    We were greeted at valet and they took our clubs straight to the pro-shop.   We had dinner, gambling, swimming and wonderful suite overlooking the golf course.   We golfed the next morning and they had our clubs on the cart with our name on it ready to go.   After a few practice balls at the driving range we headed out for a gorgeous day of golf.   The course was beautiful and I've never seen bunkers so deep on any course.    Jim manged to hit a few of them and sometimes hopped from one bunker to the next.   It was not a good day for golf scores but we had a lot of fun and laughs, it was a very challenging course and I want to go back when trees are more mature and its not so wet out.   It was cart path only due to the rain and it made for a very long day and a lot of walking.
We also golfed at Pleasant Valley in Iowa City, this course is definately one to go back too also.   I call it the golf course with a womans touch.   The owners also own a greenhouse in town and there are lots of flowers on the course making it one of my favorites for all the pretties!   I have to thank my co-worker Pat for steering us to this gem.   Lots of little bridges and fountains in all the ponds and just a real pretty course.

When we golfed at Riverside, there was one hole that went straight up hill.   Jim hit his drive and actually hit a bird in the middle of the fairway.   The bird was stunned but was able to fly away before we got to it.   Then when we golfed at Pleasant Valley he hit ANOTHER bird in the fairway there.    Only day I can remember Jim getting TWO birdies in one day!

To be continued.......
